Masterclass Overview
This six-part masterclass is suitable for tarot readers of all levels (including beginners) who want to incorporate astrological meanings into their readings. It focuses on applied astrology and the elemental influences in Tarot, rather than astrology itself. You'll gain a comprehensive understanding of tarot's connections to the zodiac, planets, and elements.
Masterclass Structure
The masterclass consists of six contact classes that build on each other, each comprising a 3-part approach:
- Theory, symbolism and meaning in the cards (1 hour)
- Tea break
- Creative or intuitive exercises (30 minutes)
- Practical implementation and card readings (45-1 hour)

- The Four Elements and the Minor Arcana I (Numbered cards) - Saturday 7 February
- The Four Elements and the Minor Arcana II (Court cards) - Saturday 21 February
- Zodiacal associations in the Major Arcana cards - Saturday 14 March
- Planetary associations in the Major Arcana cards - Saturday 28 March
- The 12 Houses - Saturday 11 April
- Interpreting your Natal Chart with Tarot - Saturday 25 April (TBC, if too many people are unable to attend before this "holiday week", the date will change to Saturday the 18th)
What you'll need:
Tarot cards - you will need your own Rider-Waite-Smith deck or clone deck. Contact me if you are unsure or haven't got a deck yet.
Reference/text book: Tarot and Astrology, by Corinne Kenner. ISBN 9780738729640.
*My class prices have been reduced for 2026, to allow you to buy the book mentioned above as a reference book. I will no longer print out Tarot card meanings, and would prefer that all students use the same resource.
Logistics
- Dates: (all 6 classes to be attended, see dates outlined above)
- Time: Saturday afternoons 14:00pm-17:00pm (R400 per class)
- Cost: R2 400,00 (R400 per class)
- Payment plan of three payments: R800,00 deposit secures your booking. Then 2 x R800 payments.
- Venue: Private Residence.
- Includes: Tea, biscuits and notes per class.
- Make-up classes: Please schedule the dates for all the classes, as they build on each other. If you can not make a specific class due to illness or other prior arrangement, there will be a summarised catch-up class before the next class from 12:45-13:45, that will give an overview of the theory. The next class will then follow directly afterwards, at 14:00.

** This is not a "fortune telling" class and does not focus on "magic or dark practices". Tarot is taught as a tool for intuition building and inner reflection.

Bring your own deck. The facilitation and notes are based on the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot Deck, and you will benefit the most from having your own deck. I do have a few loan decks for the workshop. Please contact me if you need assistance with purchasing a deck, or would like to book a loan deck for the day.
